Introducing another revolution from Powerlite - Floating Pulley technology.
Continuing our long running partnership with Swiftune, we have created a new revolutionary “floating pulley” system.
Working with Nick Swift and his top team at Swiftune, we have created a unique pulley system to partner our range of lightweight alternators described as a ‘floating’ pulley. The concept of this was to eliminate the possibility of the fan belt coming off in an over rev or missed gear situation.
The floating pulley self centralizes in situations when the fan belt can see excessive whip. Swiftune have used this new system extensively in fierce race situations and has proved to be very successful in safeguarding the engine in over-rev situations. The loss of a fan belt can destroy your race engine if not noticed in the heat of the battle! This new technology goes a long way in eliminating that from happening.
