Lucas C40 Type - Powerlite Classic Dynamo. Extensively fitted to many classic cars from the 1950's through to the early 1970's when it was replaced by the more modern alternator. This unit is an OE Lucas dynamo fully remanufactured by us here at Powerlite - not a copy part from Asia!

We have several options available for dynamo replacements, including alternator kits and our exclusive "Dynalite" - the worlds first ever alternator that looks like a dynamo. The direct swap for the C40 dynamo is our RAC006 Dynalite - looks exactly the same as the original but kicks out 55 amps.
