We have created the world’s smallest starter motor for the ever-popular A Series engine – the MicroStart!
Weighing just 2.3 kilos, this tiny unit kicks out 1.3 kW of high torque power via an epicyclic gearbox. The nose cone is machined out of sturdy, solid aluminium and features an embossed Powerlite logo. The entire unit is not much longer than a ballpoint pen – perfect for tight, compact race engines.
Fitting the evergreen Classic Mini with the “verto” flywheel, this is the first of many new MicroStarts planned – watch this space
(Please note this unit is only suitable for Negative earth applications)
